How Are D Magazine Best Doctors Chosen?
D Magazine publishes a comprehensive list of best doctors each October. The list of best doctors begins with a peer voting process. D Magazine sends letters to local doctors inviting them to use an online voting ballot for up to three doctors in each category. The nomination form asks: “Which Dallas doctors would you trust with the care of a loved one?” D Magazine staff and the panel review tallied results and select finalists based on the number of votes in each category. Once finalized, D Magazine confirms each doctor’s Texas medical license status and board certification and investigates his or her disciplinary status.
