About Fibroid Institute
Dr. Suzanne Slonim, Dr. John Fischer, and Dr. Danny Chan are board certified interventional radiologists, trained to perform minimally invasive procedures with x-ray guidance. These experts are highly experienced UFE specialists at our 100% fibroid-focused practice.
The doctors have completed more than 40,000 interventional radiology cases over the course of 30+ years of experience, making this team extremely qualified. By performing UFE in-office, Drs. Slonim, Fischer and Chan are fulfilling their passion to help women live fibroid free without major surgery.
Esther is a board-certified nurse practitioner with specialization in vascular interventional radiology. She has been a critical care and interventional radiology nurse for most of her career.
With more than 20 years of experience as a nurse, Esther has a passion for interventions that provide relief to patients and help them regain their health. Her experience and advanced level of training make her an essential part of our UFE treatment team.

Frances Huynh, PA-C is a board certified and licensed physician assistant (PA-C) with 12+ years of experience in women’s health working at OB/GYN clinics in the Katy and Sugar Land area. She is a native of North Texas but has called the Houston area “home” since 2000.
Frances graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2010, she graduated from Baylor College of Medicine with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to PA school, Frances was a coordinator and supervisor at a cancer clinic.
She was awarded several scholarships during college and in PA school. She received the first PA student award in psychiatry. Additionally, she served as treasurer of the Robert Luchi Society, a PA student association that provided medical and educational services to disadvantaged areas of Houston. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Frances is passionate about minimally invasive interventions that provide relief for women with fibroids.

Jodie Cox RN, APRN, MSN, RPhS, FNP-C completed her undergraduate work at Lewis University, Romeoville, IL where she was accepted into Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society. From there she obtained her Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification and additionally began teaching advanced cardiac lifesaving (ACLS) for the American Heart Association.
Her post graduate work was completed at Loyola University Chicago. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since 2018. Jodie is also a Registered Phlebology Sonographer.
Jodie works collaboratively with our physicians and is passionate about patient centered care.
