Texas Fibroid Awareness Month Events!

One of the most prevalent medical conditions affecting women is uterine fibroids. Significant pelvic pain, frequent urination, anemia, miscarriages, infertility, and excessive bleeding are among the symptoms that many women encounter. Even though this issue is common, there is a shortage of funding for research and general awareness that women need to discuss treatment options with their doctors. To increase awareness of this important medical issue, events around Texas Fibroid Awareness month will address the life-altering physical, psychological, and economic impact that uterine fibroids have on up to 80% of women.

This July, join Fibroid Institute Texas, Barbara Jordan Leadership Institute, the Afrocentric Communiversity, medical providers, elected officials, as well as corporate, nonprofit and community leaders united to host the 4th Annual Texas Fibroid Awareness Month campaign. Together we are supporting free, healing-centered gatherings that focus on wellness, reproductive health, and the real-life impact of fibroids—especially on Black women. These forums aren’t just conversations—they’re community care in action.

The 2025 Self-Care Community Forum Series is a space for women across Texas to educate, rest, reset, and rise. Events are FREE for guests to attend.

By leveraging the power of webinars, television, print media, community outreach, social media and in-person events, thousands of caring people across Texas will unite to improve access to information about and resources to address uterine fibroids. Please join us in this meaningful endeavor, tag @txwearwhite on social media, and plan to attend one or more of the events listed below.
