They weren’t kidding when they say “life comes at you fast”. I never thought I’d be here, 42 without kids. I want some but, my body isn’t as on board with them as I am. This will be my second time combating these disastrous fibroids. The first time I went to battle with them, I had a myomectomy done. This time another option was given, uterine fibroid embolization…. The staff moved quickly and efficiently. The PA I visited with was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and proactive with her outlining of the possible procedure. She explained, without my having to ask, everything about the procedure, including a step by step explanation of how the procedure is done, recovery, and risk involved. My insurance unfortunately did not cover the Fibroid Institute ( which ultimately probably would have been easier and more cost effective for me) but I feel incredibly lucky that Dr. Fischer also practices at Memorial Herman Woodlands. I was willing to travel to keep Dr. Fischer as a doctor. My Very large multiple fibroids forced me to do something, and I am so happy I chose UFE. After 3 months, I already noticed a difference. I wish it was possible to give 5000 🌟. Dr. Fischer & his staff are AMAZING. Actually amazing does not do Dr. Fischer any justice. Dr. Fischer is doing the Lord's work. He has brought relief & healing to so many women & I am so happy to say I am one of them. After going to another Dr. in Houston that was so eager to perform invasive surgery on me without evaluating me thoroughly, I researched & went to Dr. Fischer for a second opinion. He scheduled me for an MRI & was given the right diagnosis.
I received my surgery last week & I FEEL AMAZING. I was not in any pain the days after the surgery. I felt rested. The pain protocols that his office put in place make it so you are comfortable after the procedure.

Dr. Fischer made himself available via text 24 hours a day. The pre-op staff and experience overall was fantastic. Very warm and kind crew of nurses that made the experience lighthearted. An hour by hour medication chart for the first week made pain management a breeze. Brilliant idea!
My period has been super light post surgery and I look forward to experiencing more reduction of symptoms over the coming months.

I have visited numerous doctors in the Houston and surrounding area and have not had an experience like this in years. Dr. Fischer took the time to thoroughly explain the process, stopped to check for understanding and made sure that I was comfortable.
